Handling and managing conflict has and continues to be an ongoing area of personal development for leaders, managers, and individual contributors alike.

Most people do not like the idea of having to engage in or deal with situations that may create or involve conflict. In the business environment, conflict can have a very positive affect on people and teams, when it is understood and handled properly. While no conflict can be deemed a good sign of morale and teamwork, it can also be an indicator that opposing views are not being exposed for the benefit of others.

This 45 minute session will look at the TKI (Thomas Killman Instrument) model of the Five Modes of Conflict:
  1. The TKI framework and its application
  2. Defining each mode and primary goal behind each
  3. Skills needed for each mode
  4. Overuse and Undersue of each mode
  5. Situational application
